Charm School Vintage and Black Swan Theory curated the silky and salacious wardrobe, while yours truly designed some wigs befitting the denizens of a 1920s opium lair...

Day of the Dead is being celebrated early this year! Saturday, Oct 22, Viva la Vida Fest gives reason to paint your face and remember those who have passed, while relishing the life we still live...

I gave a "Sugar Skull" makeup tutorial, which can be viewed on Austin 360. All of these products can be purchased at the shop and are incredibly user- friendly!

What a day for Maison d'Etoile! 3 wins in the Critic's Picks for the "Best of Austin" edition. And nothing makes me happier than to see these two ladies on the cover! If you still haven't been to Vintage Vivant, which happens the last Sunday of every month, what are you waiting for??

If you missed "Dreaming in Color," Coco Coquette's trip down early 90s Club Kid memory lane, here's a pictorial recap!

The show was funded by vitaminwater, and was to be a designer contest for the best flavor- inspired outfit. I teamed up with Big Green House, Sarah K. Wolf, Tolly Moseley and Mouthfeel ATX to create the most eye-popping show vitaminwater had ever seen! This was also a benefit for AIDS Services of Austin, which made it even that much more cool...

The show opened with Jenny Woys' of Champagne Derelicts look on Miss Drea DiPrete

Bithiah Bland of Eatyour Heartout designed this Purple Haze piece for Brady-Juice Faucett

Sassy Delure designed AND performed. The boundless talents of this lady never cease to amaze!

Amelia Raley created this Victorian- inspired caged bird ensemble, modeled flawlessly by Drew Johnson

Billy Beast and Aaron Flynn had the most inspired look, manifesting the AIDS virus through fabric manipulation, while Mari Akita interpreted this infection in her riveting movement!

Amanda Martinez designed a darling bandita costume, inspired by Willie Nelson's "Blue Skies", and was danced by our own Shari Gerstenberger of Charm School Vintage!

Another designer/ dancer; Sarah Stark wowed the audience with her Gold Digger booty bounce and mega bling!

Angeliska Polacheck had the winning look, however, with her girlie dream fantastical pink unicorn costume. Sarah Marsh, of Brass Ovaries, stole the show with her gravity- defying pole tricks!

I have always been obsessed with vintage lingerie. There's just something about girdles, garters, and bullet bras that I think are so foxy and irresistible! So, you can imagine how thrilled I am to now be carrying the choice items pictured above.

I've been meaning to put these pictures up since October 20th! Alas, Halloween proved to be a busy season for us and there was just no time left in the day to wait for photo uploading. FORMER ART PALACE TRANSFORMED INTO ECLECTIC EAST SIDE STYLE HIVE:

Wearable-art collective Daisical Industries bring glitter, glam and vintage chic to East Austin, when they officially opened their doors June 1^st!

In February of this year, respected stylist and “curl specialist” Charlotte Belle relocated to the pristine xeroscaped edifice on Cesar Chavez that was once the esteemed Art Palace gallery. Along with Sarah Fisher, the designer and vintage clothing enthusiast behind Esther Bangs, the pair began Daisical Industries---a cooperative business model that rejects the notion of self editing, and encourages sincerity, authenticity and independence with a healthy dose of irreverence.

In April, Allyson Garro, owner of Coco Coquette, a wig, lash and make-up boutique specializing in maximalist glamour, joined the team. Following closely was Johanna Esper, stylist and makeup artist, whose experience includes working alongside some of the foremost names in Austin hair styling.

We are located between Chicon and Robert T Martinez at 2109 E Cesar Chavez, right next to Chapala. Parking behind the building is limited, so parking on a side street is encouraged! We're open Tuesday through Saturday, from 11am to 7pm. Come on down and say hi!
